FxPro has launched a new global brand campaign that takes a playful approach to the stereotypes surrounding professional trading. At a time when AI-generated content and predictable financial advertising are becoming increasingly common, the broker has opted for real actors, physical sets and comedy.
The campaign centres on a chaotic casting session where a director searches for an actor capable of portraying “a real Pro trader.” Candidates take turns delivering an FxPro line, but each pushes the performance further, creating exaggerated versions of the serious and intense trader often portrayed in financial advertising.
McLaren Racing drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri also make appearances in the campaign, bringing the broker’s motorsport partnership into the creative concept. Also, FxPro has been an Official Partner of McLaren Racing since 2018, making the drivers’ involvement a continuation of the relationship between the two brands.
FxPro Creative Producer Alex Redinger said the company deliberately avoided more conventional advertising techniques, including AI actors, stock footage and familiar imagery of traders staring at screens.
Instead, the campaign was around a more human and comedic concept, with the company seeking to make its advertising more memorable while challenging the assumption that trading always needs to be available in an overly serious manner.
The humour extends to several familiar figures from the trading world, including the over-dramatic trader, hype-driven influencer and analyst who relies heavily on jargon. Rather than celebrating those stereotypes, the campaign uses them as material for satire.
For traders, the campaign does not announce changes to FxPro’s trading products, conditions or services. Its significance is primarily promotional, as the broker seeks to differentiate its brand in an increasingly crowded retail trading market.
The campaign was filmed with a live cast and real physical set, deliberately giving the production the feel of a comedy sketch rather than a conventional financial advertisement.
With Norris and Piastri adding a recognizable motorsport element, FxPro is combining its existing McLaren relationship with a lighter brand message. The result is an advertising campaign built around humour, personality and the idea that being a professional trader does not require looking or acting the part.
