SIX has unveiled its collaboration with Clearstream to elevate the Connexor service as the D7 Digital Market Partner, facilitating the processing and dissemination of reference data for financial instruments. This initiative involves integrating Connexor, SIX’s premier reference data service, with D7, Deutsche Börse’s digital post-trade platform dedicated to digitizing financial instruments and enabling the issuance of electronic securities compliant with the German eWpG regulation. Moreover, motivated by regulatory mandates and market demands for standardization, this strategic move signifies a pivotal advancement towards a digitalized and streamlined future for financial markets.

The partnership between SIX and Clearstream enhances SIX Swiss Exchange’s role as a comprehensive hub for international reference data processing in Europe and Asia, providing a unified solution for issuers and financial institutions across diverse jurisdictions. However, this initiative drives the digitalization and standardization of processes in the European financial market, resulting in improved regulatory compliance, reduced complexity, minimized maintenance-intensive interfaces, enhanced reference data quality, and streamlined product lifecycle management through automation.
