Webull’s 24-hour trading services in Australia, offering extended opportunities for trading US equities and ETFs. Webull, an American stock trading platform with a global reach, has extended its services to Australian traders with the introduction of 24-hour trading. However, this service is limited to US equities and ETFs.

Webull’s 24-Hour Trading in Australia for US Equities and ETFs

As per the announcement made today (Friday), the platform will initially facilitate round-the-clock trading for over 60 prominent US stocks and ETFs. This encompasses renowned stocks like Tesla, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, along with sought-after ETFs such as SPY and QQQ.

“Traditionally, US market hours made trading the world’s largest capital market a challenging task for us here in Australia, which has been a deterrent for those seeking international equity exposure,” mentioned Rob Talevski, CEO of Webull Australia.

“Now, Webull clients can fully engage and participate as if they were trading local equities and even benefit from emerging out-of-hours trading events in the US, such as significant market developments, macro events, or crucial company news.”
Meanwhile, Webull is actively pursuing expansion and has recently ventured into various international markets. Additionally, it is in talks with South Korean regulators to secure approval, aiming to be the inaugural foreign entity in the nation’s stock trading sector.

Breaking Boundaries

Trading round-the-clock presents traders with the chance to conduct transactions beyond typical exchange hours, enabling them to capitalize on pre and post-market fluctuations. Webull specified that in Australia, its 24-hour trading window will operate from 10:00 to 17:58 AEST, Monday to Friday. This arrangement empowers Australian traders and investors to place orders during local business hours, extending beyond both standard and extended US trading periods, within a novel trading session – US overnight hours. Furthermore, it guarantees next-day settlement, irrespective of execution timing.

Talevski said “We’ve designed the Webull Australia platform to optimise the online trading experience, both for experienced investors and those new to the market, and the launch of 24-hour trading is simply an extension of these efforts,”.

Continuous trading is increasingly common worldwide. Interactive Brokers recently expanded US Treasury bond trading hours to 22 hours daily, from the previous nine.
